We are situated in a rural countryside setting just 5 miles outside the border town of Hawick on the B6399 Newcastletown road. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to rest before heading off to continue your journey or stay for a while to relax and enjoy our facilities whilst visiting some local attractions
We arrived here in 2003 and after an extensive refurbishment and upgrade we can now offer a substantial 3 room bed and breakfast in a fantastic rural setting
The Old Schoolhouse is central to some exciting rolling hills and peaks. From the Kielder Stone in the south to the Eilden Hills to our north we are sure you will find The Old Schoolhouse a welcome retreat to relax at the end of an invigorating hike.

Additionally over 20 Forestry Commission walks are within a 20 mile radius of The Old Schoolhouse, the nearest half a mile away.
If you wish to visit the coast either east or west this can be achieved within 1 hour, which makes for a great day out.
