Craigellachie
Situated on the Eastern bank of the River Spey, is an excellent venue for salmon fishing, walking the world famous Speyside Way, mountain biking and of course is on the Moray Malt Whisky Trail.
Craigellachie itself is a village relying on the whisky industry and is home to the Speyside Cooperage, where local professional coopers make whisky casks. The Cooperage has a visitor centre on Dufftown Road, Craigellachie with an exhibition, gift shop and offers tastings. Even for those not keen whisky drinkers, the Cooperage has something different and retails a wide range of garden furniture and tubs crafted from old casks as well as literature, Scottish gifts and accessories.
